Prunus serrulata

Compassion

Cherry blossom symbolises the philosophy of balance, harmony and co-existence, where seemingly separate or opposing forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world. These complementary opposites interact constantly and are able to transform each other to promote stabilisation similar to homeostasis.

Cherry is an essence that addresses strong polarities. The duality between the inner forces within the psyche of spirit (self/consciousness) and phenomena (matter/nature) are bound together as parts of a mutual whole and are in continual change and mutual adjustment. When you oppose one side of your existence, tensions or resistance inherent in the relationship create inner conflict and you become unbalanced.

Many of us have unconscious patterns of becoming polarised, due to past and learned experiences and inherited tendencies. Stress and conflict can push us over the edge into over-identifying with one side of the pole at the expense of the other.

This essence may help to neutralise and harmonise the two inner opposing sides. Achieving a state of wholeness or ‘at-one-ment’ involves acceptance of all that we are, without judgement. As we radiate loving kindness with an open and compassionate heart, we expand our ability to love and be loved. As a consequence, we realise that every moment of life is precious, that we need to live life to the full and cherish every moment.

Be open-hearted and openminded.

Transcend negative, inherited predispositions and consciously conduct yourself with integrity and in the spirit of goodwill.
