Coping With World Craziness

Nothing is as it appears

Doesn’t the world seem a bit crazy right now?

Well, the truth is it always has been. Year after year, century after century, millennia after millennia, craziness has always happened. Shakespeare nailed corruption, vengeance and human turmoil. Ancient Rome was a hotbed of power mania and psychotic craziness. Throughout time immemorial, when one tyrant is toppled another one pops up in their place.

 

In these times of what seems like heightened craziness, when you feel fear, terror, uncertainty, or even unable to cope, it’s important to centre yourself and feel safety, by turning inwards. Let the world outside of you carry on with its craziness as you feel the love and protection that is within you.

Before you were born, you had 24 hour womb service and and this meant that all your needs were met. You were connected to your mother and in turn to the Source of all being. Maybe you had some difficult experiences whilst you were in the womb¹, but you had an unconditional connection to your mother.

Then when you were born, you came into the world with the bright lights, harsh sounds, a cooler temperature and people handling you indelicately. You didn’t know what was happening, and you were uncertain about what was happening because you were no longer in the safe cocoon of the womb.

Now you’re on the outside of the womb – everything seems beyond your control.

Just like what’s going on now; the crazy politics, the wars and economic hard times all feel like they’re way beyond your control. Resulting in streams of negative thoughts racing through your mind about what’s going to happen.

“I hate this tyrant who is the cause violence in our country.”

“I will be destitute when the market collapses”

“I’m going to die when the climate gets warmer.”

Changing the regime isn’t so easy, but changing your reaction to what’s going on is much easier. This gives rise to you reacting from a place of clarity and compassion. Being in a continued state of hatred, anger or fear is detrimental to your mental health. Take a break from social media and the news because negative thinking is contagious.

Stop rehearsing devastating scenarios in your head or making assumptions about situations.

It’s important to notice your negative thinking creeping in. Let this stream of unhelpful thoughts simply melt away, because these types of thoughts create fear. Rise against every negative thought that rises up against you to keep you in ignorance.

Einstein knew the truth:

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them”

So how about changing your thinking and even more importantly making a commitment to uplifting your consciousness?

Consider a harmonious way of coming into the world; rather than immediately being taken away from your mother after you were born, imagine crawling up to her chest where she lovingly holds you. You feel the warmth of her skin and this is instantly comforting. You are greeted with a warm, tender smile and feel lovingly welcomed to this world. She looks you in your eyes and tells you everything is fine because you are safe and protected. You are blissed out.

Air continues to pulse through the umbilical cord, which gradually dries. Until you feel the urge to breathe for the first time, softly and gently. Allowing Spirit to fully come into your body. Unlike when your first breath was forced and gasps for air were painful.

Take a deep breath now and allow yourself to feel loving arms holding you. Every cell of your being feels safe and protected. As you continue to breathe deeply it is safe to allow Spirit to come fully into your body.

Consider theses possibilities:

  • it is possible to change how you responded to coming into the world
  • it is possible to let the world carry on whilst you retire within,
  • it is possible to re-connect with Source,
  • it is possible that your perspective can change.
  • it is possible to innately know that you will be safe.

Where you ever given the advice to just rise above it? I know it’s not that easy because you may feel helpless and that leads to remaining stuck. But stay with me.. in fact, what is happening is that you’re actually rising in consciousness. Einstein quite rightly said “no problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” Hate doesn’t overcome hate. Notice your hatred when it rises up.

When the world’s craziness starts to engulf you, it may feel like a ginormous wave is coming at you. But if you stand still, stand firm and simply know you will be unharmed. The ginormous wave of the world’s craziness can pass you by when you know to the core of your being, that you are safe and loved. Because what really counts is being able to face it all and not react with fear, terror, hatred or uncertainty.

What if this craziness is simply a mirage? waiting for you to see the truth. It doesn’t mean you don’t have empathy for what other people are going through. It means you can be centred and not be swept away into a wave of fear and hatred. You can then look at the situation from a more loving space.

When you allow Spirit to come fully into your body and feel safe, loved and welcome in this world, it’s then easier to connect with Source. You need not concern yourself about protection against dictators; you need not concern yourself with depressions or recessions, climate or injustices.

The only thing you need be concerned about is the ability to be still and quiet. Let Source manifest and express Itself within you. When you have permitted Source to permeate mind and body, in that stillness you are empowered to find your strength and peace. Something takes place within you that dissolves the problems of life and makes the way forward one of joy and fulfilment. Your reality can literally change.

It is important to understand how your birth has impacted your life in relation to these testing times. Embody being here through feeling safe, secure and welcome. Stay centred and unnerved by all that craziness that’s going on outside of you. Change the way you react to the world and reconnect to the safety of Source, which is the source of who you really are.
